Curry On Beach started as a simple idea: cook the Durban-style curries East London grew up on, and serve them close enough to the water that you can smell the sea between courses.

Every dish — the Wednesday chicken masala breyani, the Thursday bunny chow, the pancake breakfast that opens the day — comes out of a small kitchen on Beach Road, made the way a family would make it at home. No shortcuts, no fuss. We’re Halaal-friendly, open every day, and most regulars know us for showing up rain or shine — on the beachfront, that’s a promise.
